Senior UX/UI Designer

Fundrise is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our growing creative team. The UX Designer will play a key role in realizing our vision of a world-class online investing experience. He/she will be responsible for developing considered solutions that reflect a deep understanding of the business and the full user experience. He/she must be able to think critically, ask strategic questions, and turn complex processes into simple and elegant user interactions. The UX Designer will set a standard for creative consistency and excellence across the team, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to other designers. This role reports into the Creative Director.

As a UX Designer at Fundrise, you will:

  • Define and lead the user experience and interface design of Fundrise product initiatives across web and mobile apps -- including research, wireframing, user flows, prototyping, high-fidelity design, implementation, and data analysis.
  • Prioritize work and design decisions based on user needs, performance metrics, business impact, and team resources.
  • Collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams at every stage of product development -- from project definition and scoping to implementation and final QA.
  • Grow, organize, and maintain our style guide and pattern library.
  • Shape the future of the team by implementing team processes, contributing to hiring, participating in our open feedback culture, and setting a standard of excellence.  

Ideally, you have:

  • 6+ years of experience creating beautifully effective websites, web apps, and mobile apps
  • Degree in graphic design, digital media, or related field.
  • A portfolio that shows off your skills in information design, user flows, design systems, composition, grid systems, color,  typography, and interactions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS, Sketch/Figma, and Invision/Marvel.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Growth mindset and humble attitude, always looking for ways to improve your work and your performance.
