Fundrise has an immediate opening in our DC headquarters for a full-time Accountant. A successful candidate will have exceptional analytical capabilities, be attentive to detail, and have a strong work ethic. - Assist with asset management responsibilities, including review of financial statements and other documents for underlying real estate assets

- Essential contributor to full cycle accounting process for consolidated financial statements including but not limited to: month end close process, bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations, journal entries, and preparing and maintaining supporting documentation 

- Assist in overall accuracy of general ledger and financial statement GAAP compliance

- Maintain and optimize the process of disseminating accounting information to external auditors, internal management, and other stakeholders

- Work directly with key personnel to establish and maintain effective internal controls over existing and emerging processes

-Assist with quarterly net asset value testing, deal closings, and servicing quarterly payments 

-Recalculate and assist with investor distributions and dividends


- Master's degree

- 2-4 years of Big 4 or real estate investment back office experience 

- Prior experience in real estate, financial reporting, alternative investments, private equity, asset management, and/or REITs is a plus

- CPA or equivalent designation preferred

- Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

- Able to leverage and improve systems to drive operational efficiency

- An understanding of the impact of positive, seamless customer experience on brand loyalty and customer acquisition

- Intellectually curious, creative, and collaborative
