Fundrise has an immediate opening in our DC office for a full-time Associate in Real Estate. Candidates for this position must have at least two years of experience working in real estate.

Source and originate deals ranging from commercial to residential
Underwrite transactions: developing project pro-formas, assessing market/submarket trends, comps, etc., and evaluating sponsor track record and reputation
Assist with due diligence and closing processes
Draft Investment Committee memos
Work with Fundrise team to develop systematic methods for originating and underwriting real estate projects
Work with Fundrise team and investment partners to asset manage the investments subsequent to closing as needed [review regular reporting, maintain pro-formas, conduct hold-sale analysis, calculate quarterly NAVs, assist with preparation of annual business plans, assist with loan pay-offs (debt investments) and dispositions (equity investments)]
2+ years of experience working in commercial real estate
Strong understanding of real estate investment principles, a working understanding of real estate pro-formas and valuation methods, and strong Excel modeling skills. Knowledge of Argus is a plus
Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and sales skills
Outstanding organizational skills; ability to leverage and improve systems to manage a high volume of transactions
Must be self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-oriented and fast paced environment
